International WEST Seeks Winning Deals at Vegas Conference

The odds are in Garden Grove’s favor at this year’s International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Annual Conference, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, as members of the Garden Grove Agency for Community Development put International WEST before a 50,000-strong industry gathering to attract global investors interested in new business opportunities. The International WEST exhibit will be on display May 19 through May 21 at Booth C-2030, 20th Avenue.

Professional, full-color visual displays will offer ICSC attendees a stunning look into the developing, 500 plus-acre resort and entertainment destination along Harbor Boulevard—the heart of Orange County’s tourist, sports, and entertainment zone.

Geared to residents and tourists, International WEST is a streetscape–type retail district set in a festive, high-energy environment appealing to all ages and tastes.

Planned features of the resort include a major theme park, 16 hotels, themed shopping and restaurants similar to Universal Studios’ City Walk, and a prime location two miles from the Disneyland Resort, which attracts 22 million visitors each year.

The City of Garden Grove is actively soliciting developers and businesses interested in pursuing opportunities within International WEST. The project is administered by the City’s Economic Development Department, which is also responsible for revitalizing commercial and industrial areas, and redeveloping blighted areas by preserving and developing new residential, commercial, and industrial districts in the city.
